About Mid Conifer
Mid conifer resort is located literally in the lap of nature, about 8 km from the Gandhi chowk Dalhousie on the road which moves through the beautiful, scenic and historical places like Subhash boli, jandrighat and karelnu. The road which takes you to this beautiful,serene and sumptuous resort in itself is a perfect delight to be witnessed and experienced. Subhashbowli, which falls first on this way Just 1 km from Gandhi chowk is a charming natural spot. Neta ji Subhash Chander Bose during his 7 months sojourn in Dalhousie in 1937 is believed to have spent most of his days by the side of this water body, meditating amidst dense woods of Cedar and meeting his party workers. A canopy with seating facilities has been created by the local administration at this place.
What will you experience?
All the cottages afford a stunning view of the forest and are equipped with modern, state-of-the-art toilets and bathrooms. All staff members are drawn from nearby villages and are full-time. The Host and the manager of the resort is a local guy, well versed with the surroundings and the local conditions and is always available to resolve any kind of issues. All the cottages are independent still interconnected with footpaths, giving the resort a form of a cute little village.
The place is worth visiting any time of the year, with each period having its own charm and specialty. During the summers, between April and June, one can have a respite from the sweltering heat of the plains, charismatic in the cool breeze and occasional showers. During the rainy season from July to September one can witness the lush green surroundings all around and the clouds which actually come down, literally kissing the earth below. October and November are the months of moderation when the weather is at its best with a pleasant chill and perfect sunny mornings. Winters i.e. December to March are the period of snow! When the whole town wears a white blanket and the Tall deodars around the mid conifer get decorated with the silver ornaments of the snow.
